Adit and Collapse, Nentsberry Haggs Mine, (26/04/08)

Back to Nentsberry Haggs Mine Trip Index

On the way back from Brownley Hill after our trip to the Admiralty Flats we had a detour to the Haggs adit to have a look at he dig that Aubrey, John and Karli had started a few years back. We did not have to go far to get to it, maybe a 100m or so.

The work that they carried out on the dig was very extensive. A drainage pipe had been placed in to lower the water level in the actual level. A pipe had also been knocked through the fall which was draining water from the far side, as well as a scaffold pole.

The result was thoughts of trying to finish it off, so that the Great Nenthead Traverse could be carried out again!
